Participant Management – Help & Guide

This panel allows you to manage all participants, including adding, editing, deleting, importing, exporting, filtering, and assigning participants to events and heats. Below you'll find a detailed guide to all features and answers to common questions.


Introduction

The Participant Management panel is the central hub for handling all participant data in the system. It supports bulk operations, advanced filtering, CSV import/export, and event/heat assignments. Use this panel to keep your participant list accurate and up to date.

  1. Header: Panel title, quick add button, and description.
  2. Statistics Cards: Show participant totals and assignment stats.
  3. Action Cards: Import, export, and bulk assignment tools.
  4. Filters: Use dropdowns and search to filter the participant list.
  5. Participants Table: Main list with edit, assign, and delete actions. Use checkboxes for bulk selection.
  6. Assignment Modal: Assign selected participants to events and heats.
  7. Import Modal: Upload CSV, preview data, and assign to event.
  8. Export: Download filtered list as CSV, with summary and applied filters.

FAQ & Troubleshooting

Click the Add New Participant button at the top right. Fill in the required details and save.

Use the Import card. Select an event, choose your CSV file, and (optionally) enable overwrite for duplicates. The system will process the file and show a summary.

Use the Export card. You can export all or filtered participants as a CSV file, including event and import information.

Select participants using the checkboxes, then use the Bulk Assignment card. Choose the event and (optionally) heat, then confirm the assignment.

Yes. Use the Edit and Delete buttons in the table for each participant. Deleting is permanent.

Filters allow you to narrow the participant list by gender, category, event, import status, or search by name/bib. Use multiple filters together for advanced queries.

By default, duplicates are skipped. Enable Overwrite duplicates to update existing records with new data from your CSV.

Errors may be due to missing required fields, invalid data, or duplicate entries. Review the error details in the import summary for more info.

No. Deletions and imports are permanent. Always double-check before confirming bulk actions.
