Figures Dictionary Viewer – Help & Guide
This panel allows you to browse, search, and export the full dictionary of figures (elements, moves, skills, etc.) for all sports and categories in the system. Use this guide to understand all features and options available.
Introduction
The Figures Dictionary Viewer is a read-only tool for exploring all figure definitions in the database. It is designed for judges, organizers, and admins who need to reference or export figure data for scoring, event setup, or documentation.
Main Features
- Browse by Sport & Category: View all figures grouped by sport and category, with color-coded cards and icons.
- Search & Filter: Instantly filter figures by name, description, or code. Filter by sport for focused browsing.
- Statistics Overview: See total counts of sports, categories, and figure items at a glance.
- Export: Download all figures or just a single sport's figures as JSON for offline use or integration.
- Print View: Print the current view for reference or sharing.
- Quick Actions: Jump to figure management or back to scoring formats.
Panel Walkthrough
- Header: Shows the panel title and a short description.
- Quick Actions: Buttons for navigation, exporting, and printing.
- Search & Filter: Use the search box to find figures by name, description, or code. Use the sport dropdown to filter by sport. Clear filters with the X button.
- Statistics: Cards show the number of sports, categories, and items currently displayed.
- Figures Display: Figures are grouped by sport and category. Each figure shows its name, code, description, and base difficulty (if set).
- Export Options: Download all data or just the selected sport as JSON. Print the current view.
FAQ & Troubleshooting
Use the search box at the top to enter any part of the figure's name, description, or code. Results update when you press Enter or click Search.
Yes. Use the sport dropdown to select a sport. Only figures for that sport will be shown. To reset, select "All Sports" or clear filters.
It downloads a JSON file containing all figures, grouped by sport and category, including statistics. Use this for backup, integration, or offline reference.
Click the Print View button. This will open the browser's print dialog for the current view.
No. This panel is read-only. To add, edit, or delete figures, use the Manage Figures button to go to the Figures Management panel.
Some figures may not have a description, code, or base difficulty if this data was not entered in the management panel. Contact an admin to update missing info.
Each sport has a unique color and icon for easy identification. These are set in the database and used throughout the UI for consistency.
Use the Quick Actions buttons at the top: Back to Formats or Manage Figures.
Troubleshooting
- No figures found: Try clearing filters or check if figures exist for the selected sport/category.
- Export/Print not working: Ensure your browser allows downloads and popups. Try a different browser if issues persist.
- Missing sports or categories: These are managed in the admin panel. Contact an admin if you believe data is missing.
