Edit Event – Help & Guide

This panel allows you to configure all details of an event, including sport, scoring, participants, and more. Below you'll find a detailed guide to all fields, options, and answers to common questions.


Introduction

The Edit Event panel is where you update all event details after creation. You can change basic info, scoring, format, participant limits, contact details, and more. Some options may be restricted if participants are already assigned.

Panel Walkthrough

  1. Header: Panel title, navigation to all events, and description.
  2. Event Info Badge: Shows creation date and participant count.
  3. Edit Form: Update all event fields. Required fields are marked with *.
  4. Sport & Format: Changing these may affect scoring. Warning shown if participants exist.
  5. Scoring Configuration: Scoring mode, runs, and heats may auto-update based on format.
  6. Danger Zone: Delete event if no participants are assigned.

FAQ & Troubleshooting

Event Name, Date, Location, and Sport Discipline are required. Other fields are optional but recommended for full configuration.

Yes, but a warning will appear. Changing these may affect scoring and participant assignments. Proceed with caution.

  • Draft: Not visible to public, still being configured.
  • Open: Open for registration.
  • Live: Event is in progress.
  • Completed: Event is finished.
  • Cancelled: Event is cancelled and closed.

These settings control how participants are scored. They may auto-populate from the selected format, but you can adjust them as needed.

You can only delete events that have no participants assigned. The delete option will appear in the Danger Zone if eligible.

Some fields (like scoring) may auto-fill based on the selected format. Fields may be disabled if not applicable or if participants exist.
